It then rosed slightly by 20 cents in 1966 before falling sharply to $1.37 in 1971. There was a dramatic increase over the next two years, with the price of wool reaching a peak of $5.13 in 1973. From 1974 to 1978 the price fluctuated between a high of $3.20 and a low of $2.75, before climbing to $4.60 in 1980. After falling again to $3.60 in 1983, the price levelled off at $3.55 in 1985. |
